Iran has stepped up its attacks on energy infrastructure across the Gulf and there have been more strikes on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, further threatening oil and gas supplies and a global energy crisis.
The International Energy Agency has ordered the largest release of stockpiled oil reserves in its history, in an attempt to stabilise global oil prices which have soared since the start of the US and Israeli attacks on Iran. 32 countries have agreed to release around 400 million barrels of crude oil onto world markets.
In Oman, oil storage tanks in the port of Salalah caught fire with reports they had been hit by drones. The UAE and Qatar reported more attacks from Iranian missiles and drones.
Israel launched another wave of strikes at what it said were Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, saying it's in response to rockets fired at Israel.

US President Donald Trump has said there have been "productive conversations" about a "complete and total resolution" to the conflict in the Middle East.
He said he will "postpone any and all strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure" for a five day period.
On Saturday night, Trump gave Iran a 48-hour deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz - or, he said, the US would "obliterate" Iranian power plants, "starting with the biggest one first".

Donald Trump has told European countries that have refused to back the war in Iran: “go get your own oil”. The US President made the comments on his Truth Social media platform. The price of oil rose on global markets following his tirade.
Some countries in Europe have actively opposed the military action, such as Spain which has denied the US use of bases and airspace,
Mr Trump also wrote: “… all of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran” should buy US oil instead.
King Charles is to travel to the United States on an official visit, to mark the country’s 250th anniversary of independence. The visit will come at at time of strain between Washington and London, due to the UK’s decision not to back the Iran war.
Lebanon had denounced plans for what it calls an occupation of Lebanese territory by Israel, which plans to create a buffer zone inside the country, as it continues its attacks on Hezbollah fighters backed by Iran.

The US strikes Iran's Kharg Island - hitting 90 military targets on the critical oil processing outpost.
Iran has struck back, with strikes on the US Embassy in Baghdad and debris from an intercepted Iranian missile causing a huge fire at one of the UAE's largest oil storage facilities.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says it has launched another wave of strikes on Tehran, while Iranian officials say at least 153 people including children were killed after a reported strike hit a school.
In Israel, nine people have been killed after a missile strike in the city of Beit Shemesh, according to medical services.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says he's "given instructions for the continuation of the campaign" against Iran during a meeting with his defence minister, chief of staff, and the head of the Mossad security service.

The US is "very close" to meeting its "core objectives" in Iran, the White House said, after Tehran rejected a US peace plan as "excessive".
Iran issued five conditions to end the war, an Iranian official told state media, including a conclusion to the conflict "across all fronts" and payment of reparations.
Iran had earlier received a 15-point proposal from the US, according to reports from Pakistan which is acting as an intermediary.
The US plan - which has not been made public - reportedly includes Iran dismantling its nuclear facilities in exchange for the lifting of sanctions - the White House says it never confirmed the plan and talks are ongoing.

Israel says Iran's intelligence minister Esmail Khatib has been killed in an overnight strike.
It comes after Iran's top security official Ali Larijani was also killed yesterday.
The IDF said Khatib's Ministry of Intelligence played a key role in supporting the regime’s "repression and terrorist activities", and that he himself played a "significant role" in the "arrest and killing of protesters" during a recent crackdown on demonstrations in Iran.
"His elimination joins dozens of other eliminations of senior commanders of the Iranian terrorist regime... and significantly degrades the regime’s command and control structures," the IDF added.
Iran has not yet commented on reports of Khatib's death.
Meanwhile, Israel has launched a series of strikes on Lebanon's capital Beirut, as it continues its offensive against Hezbollah.

Protesters in Iran defied a government crackdown on Saturday night, taking to the streets despite reports suggesting hundreds of people have been killed or wounded by security forces in the past three days.
Iran's attorney general said anyone protesting would be considered an "enemy of God" - an offence that carries the death penalty.
US President Donald Trump has threatened to hit Iran "very hard" if they "start killing people".
Iran's parliament speaker warned that if the US attacks Iran, Israel and all US military and shipping bases in the region would be legitimate targets.

This comes ahead of a formal signing ceremony in Switzerland on Friday.

The US- Iran peace plan has been made public - with both sides agreeing to end all hostilities.
14 point memorandum includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz, apparently with no tolls.
The US has agreed to lift sanctions on Iran and to unfreeze Iranian assets held abroad.
A $300 billion reconstruction plan for Iran is proposed although it’s unclear who would pay for it.
And Iran agrees not to develop nuclear weapons, with both countries working together to remove any enriched material.
The deal makes no mention of Iranian ballistic capabilities, or its support for foreign groups such as Hezbollah.
President Trump said he hoped the deal would be signed tomorrow and has also said: Trump: “we’re going to bomb the hell out of them if they violate the agreement”.
